Arcangelo Michele Suite
Prestige. For nearly 250 years the most important guests of the Angeli Nieri Mongalli family used to stay in these atmospheric rooms situated on the main floor and overlooking the street and the little square. The beautiful marble fireplace, the wonderful decorations and the brass ornaments in the drawing room convey a sense of elegance; in the centre of the vaulted ceiling a fresco by Antonio Castelletti from Perugia portrays Aeneas carrying his old father on his shoulders while fleeing from Troy fire. On the wall an old painting of the Archangel in an episode from the Bible. The big bedroom has a four-poster bed, an Empire commode and a 19th-century “Psyche” mirror. On the vaulted ceiling an important fresco with late 18th-century grotesque paintings. A spacious bathroom with shower.
