This book is more than an illustrated recipes book, elaborated along thirty years by Maria Angeli Nieri Mongalli, as it also offers to the readers delicious moments of the daily life in the Mongalli family, today L'Orto degli Angeli, photographed at the beginning of the century by count Filippo and today by the turinese photographer Adriano Bacchella.
The idea of anthropologist M. Luciana Buseghin, autor of the book, is to describe through the images and told suggestions, a place where people of today and people of yesterday look for the usual harmony of ever.
