Springtime in Umbria!

Springtime in Umbria!

Springtime in the Umbrian nature, food, culture and spirituality.

Springtime has come and there are many itineraries to live fully the most scented season in Umbria amongst suggestive and unique landscapes, ancient villages and typical local products. Come and discover the charm of medieval towns still strongly characterized by their ancient history. The "Piazza" (square) is the heart of the old town, the place where people meet and where the main monuments are, and from March to June is the setting of local flea markets. Wine, olive oil, honey, fruits and vegetables; sheep, cow and goat milk cheese, jam and canned fruit are the most genuine products of this land by the hard work of local farmers who still keep intact the tradition of their craft. From the Tuscany-like landscape of Città di Castello and Città della Pieve, going through Gubbio and Perugia in the Valle Umbra (Umbrian Valley) with Assisi, Deruta, Spello, Trevi, Montefalco, and then going north-east to Spoleto and Norcia, or noth-west to Todi, Orvieto and Narni, is really hard to choose a destination because every place has its unique essence and offers both nature and culture attractions. The small-town roads amongst hills and small villages are especially suitable for walks or bike rides as a way to discover really charming landscapes. In natural Parks such as the "Monti Sibillini" or "Colfiorito" ,or "Nera" trekking is the best way to explore blossoming spring in the mountains or walking in more relaxing path at Lake Trasimeno. Our hometown Bevagna stands in the middle of the region and every location is easily to reach from here in maximum one hour by car. We are waiting for you in your "casa" in Umbria!
